Cotton Incorporated is a very traditional company with a very traditional approach to advertising. It made sense for a long time. They were everything to everyone so broadcast was the way to go. When they decided to focus on young female consumers, they knew that needed to change. And we knew how to make it happen.

Most people don’t think that what their clothes are made of makes much difference. (And that’s if it crosses their mind in the first place.) So we turned to up-and-coming artisans who swear by cotton for making the wares they're passionate about. Viewers get to see behind the scenes of some of their favorite maker labels, and learn why they, too, should look for cotton in the clothes they wear and goods they buy.
Common Threads
Cotton may be ubiquitous, but it’s the key to personal style. The same garment can be styled and worn completely differently by different people. But the fact that it’s cotton is what makes it universally appealing. This series showed that cotton could be fashionable, versatile, and personal.
